My name is Ainslie-Maria, I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a high school biology teacher, an experience that deepened my understanding of learning, development, and the importance of creating supportive environments for growth. This background in biology and education continues to inform my integrative and evidence-based approach to psychotherapy. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and neurodivergence.

I am particularly inspired by the transformational potential of schema therapy. In my work, I help clients understand and shift deep-rooted patterns that can contribute to self-sabotage, perfectionism, and difficulties with boundaries. Together, we explore unhelpful coping modes and work toward developing healthier ways of relating to both the self and others.

I bring a warm, collaborative nature to therapy, creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to explore meaningful change. My goal is to help people build resilience, self-compassion, and emotional flexibility by working directly with the core beliefs and needs that shape their experiences.

In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as the Media Director for Schema Therapy Training Canada, where I contribute to advancing knowledge, accessibility, and community within the schema therapy field. I currently work in private practice in Ontario, where I provide schema therapy for adults seeking sustainable, long-term change.
