Frances Miller MSW RSW
Frances Miller MSW, RSW draws upon over 30 years of experience as a therapist in Family, Marital and Individual Counselling, with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and memberships in the OASW (Ontario Association of Social Workers), OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers), and the ISST (International Society for Schema Therapy). Frances's integrative approach to therapy is influenced by a specialty in Schema Therapy, as well as training and expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Insight Oriented/Psychodynamic, Systems and Attachment perspectives. Frances is an ISST Certified Advanced Schema Therapist, and Supervisor/Trainer.

Early in her career, Frances worked in community children's mental health in Toronto and Scarborough, focusing on healthy parenting of teens and children, and trauma treatment. She participated in a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment with SASAT (Scarborough Agencies Sexual Abuse Team) and HSAP (Halton Sexual Abuse Program), with a particular interest in adult female survivors of childhood abuse. Through these opportunities, Frances developed strong skills in working with individuals and family systems facing life crises individually and in their relationships. Presently located in Oakville, Frances's private practice is designed to meet client's needs across the lifespan, with a focus on treatment for anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma. She is currently the Director of the Oakville Schema Therapy Center, offering schema based interventions to individuals, couples and groups, as well as consultation to other professionals in the community. She is the founder and Training Director for Schema Therapy Training
Canada.
Wendy Behary LCSW
With 25+ years of professional experience and advanced level certifications, Wendy Behary is the founder and director of The Cognitive Therapy Center of New Jersey and The Schema Therapy Institutes of NJ-NYC-DC. She has been treating clients, training professionals and supervising psychotherapists for more than 20 years. Wendy was on the faculty of the Cognitive Therapy Center and Schema Therapy Institute of New York (until the Institutes merged in 2012), where she trained and worked with Dr. Jeffrey Young since 1989. She is a founding fellow and consulting supervisor for The Academy of Cognitive Therapy (Aaron T. Beck’s Institute). Wendy served as the President of the Executive Board of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) from 2010-2014 and served as the Training and Certification Coordinator for the ISST Executive Board from 2008-2010. She is currently the chair of the Schema Therapy Development Programs Sub-Committee for the ISST. Wendy Behary has co-authored several chapters and articles on Schema Therapy and Cognitive Therapy. She is the author of an international bestselling book, " Disarming the Narcissist...” translated in 16 languages. The Third Edition was recently released and was selected by Oprah Daily as one of the top books on the subject of Narcissism.
Wendy has a specialty in treating narcissists and the people who live with and deal with them. As an author and subject matter expert on narcissism, she is a contributing chapter author of several chapters on schema therapy for narcissism for professional readers. She lectures both nationally and internationally to professional and general audiences on schema therapy, narcissism, interpersonal relationships, anger, and dealing with difficult people. She receives consistent high praise for her clear and articulate teaching style and her ability to bring the therapy to life through dramatic demonstrations of client interactions in the treatment room.
Jeff Conway LCSW
Jeff Conway is the current President of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST), is a founding member of the ISST and has cultivated a Schema Therapy practice for over 20 years and has been a ST Trainer and Supervisor since the inception of the ISST. Jeff is also trained in EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Group Therapy, and Object Relations Theory. He is also a founding member of the New York Center for Emotion Focused Therapy.
Before being elected President, Jeff has taken on many roles within the ISST, inspired by a commitment to deepening the understanding of the ST Model and the provision of quality of Schema Therapy Treatment. Jeff has cultivated a special interest in the Enmeshment and Undeveloped Self Schema and has provided numerous workshops, webinars, presentations, and supervision groups around the world on this topic.
Dr Joan Farrell
Dr Joan Farrell is a licensed clinical psychologist with 40 years of experience in training and psychotherapy practice. She is a certified Schema Therapy Trainer/Supervisor and co-directs the Schema Therapy Institute Midwest- Indianapolis. Joan has given training in individual and group ST internationally for over 20 years (24 countries to date). She receives outstanding evaluations for her enthusiastic and collaborative teaching style that includes demonstrations and group role play experiences for participants.

Joan is an Adjunct Professor in Clinical Psychology at Indiana University-Purdue University. She was a clinical professor at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), for 25 years. She is Research and Training director of the IUSM Center for Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment & Research. She was the elected Executive Board Member, Coordinator for Training & Certification of the ISST 2012-2018. She chairs the ISST Training & Certification Advisory Board. She was awarded an Honorary Lifetime membership by ISST 2018.
Robin Spiro LCSW
Robin Spiro is a Schema Therapy Trainer and Supervisor for over 25 years with a specialty in treating Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders. She has lectured internationally on these topics and facilitates supervision groups concerning general trauma issues and specifically on treatment of Dissociative Identity Disorder. Using schema therapy as the foundation for trauma treatment, Robin also integrates concepts from other trauma treatment models, including EMDR, somatic therapies and internal family systems. Robin additionally chairs the International Society of Schema Therapy committee dedicated to the education and training of accredited supervisors.
Dre. Danielle Sauvé, Ph.D.
Dre. Danielle Sauvé, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist based in Montreal. She did her graduate studies at Concordia University in the Centre for Studies in Behavioural Neurobiology, and a one-year pre-doctoral internship at the Eating Disorder Unit of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Montreal under the supervision of Howard Steiger.
She has been a practicing therapist for nearly 25 years and has been using the Schema Therapy (ST) model almost from the start. She did her formal training in ST when the first certification training program was offered in 2008 by Dr. Jeffrey Young (and colleagues) at the Schema Therapy Institute of New York City, and was supervised by Wendy Behary and Travis Atkinson. She is also a certified ST Supervisor. She does individual therapy with adults.
Dr. Pierre Cousineau
Dr. Pierre Cousineau, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist with 48 years of experience. He is also a supervisor and trainer for 30 years. He is based in Montreal, but is giving workshops in Europe and Africa, mostly in French-speaking countries. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, He practices Schema Therapy since the mid ’90s and was first supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Young.
In the last 10 years, he got interested in Memory Reconsolidation and became an assistant instructor for the Coherence Psychology Institute.
He recently co-authored a book on integrating Memory Reconsolidation to Schema Therapy. The book is written in French and has not been translated yet.

Dr. Chirine Dakkak
Dr Chirine Dakkak is a seasoned clinical psychologist with nearly two decades of private practice experience in Montreal. She is an advanced schema therapist and a certified trainer and supervisor in schema therapy. Her doctoral work completed at Université de Sherbrooke primarily centered on investigating the impact of a training workshop on the attitudes of mental health professionals toward borderline personality disorder.
Having witnessed the transformative impact of schema therapy firsthand, Dr. Dakkak is driven to equip fellow professionals with the tools and insights needed to create lasting change in clients' lives. She finds immense joy in guiding colleagues through the nuances of schema therapy, helping them refine their skills, and witnessing their confidence soar as they navigate more complex cases. Dr. Dakkak’s commitment to supervision and training reflects not only her expertise but also her genuine desire to see her colleagues thrive, ensuring that the benefits of schema therapy are extended far and wide.
Rachel Bingham MSW, RSW
Rachel Bingham MSW, RSW, has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She began her career at SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health in Toronto, ON, providing therapeutic services in inpatient psychiatry. Working with a multidisciplinary team, Rachel provided individual and family therapy for inpatient youth/families experiencing serious mental health challenges that required long term hospitalization.

Rachel has provided therapeutic services within a variety of milieus, including The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children, Thrive Counselling, The Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) and The Coping Centre. While her therapeutic role has varied within these agencies, Rachel continued to provide client centered support for individuals, couples and families using an integrative model of therapy.

Currently, Rachel has her own private practice based in Toronto and Oakville, ON. Her areas of therapeutic practice include work with anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), relationship issues, trauma, grief and more. Rachel draws from a range of perspectives including Schema Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. She sees individuals, couples and families in her practice, while also co-leading groups in the community.
Aleksandra Crvenic Pacek
– Psychotherapist and Supervisor
Aleksandra Crvenic Pacek is a Certified Advanced Level Schema Psychotherapist and Supervisor, RE & CBT Psychotherapist, and CRPO Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), with a private practice since 2019. She holds a Master’s degree in Pedagogy from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and completed additional exams in Psychology (Psychotherapy Propaedeutics) at Singidunum University,
Serbia.
Her journey into Schema Therapy began in 2016, inspired by several seminars and her personal exploration of the approach. In 2021, Aleksandra became a certified Standard Level Schema Therapist, followed by her Advanced Schema Therapy certification in 2022. Her dedication and pursuit of excellence led her to become an accredited Schema Therapy Supervisor in 2023. Currently, she is working towards achieving the Trainer’s level in Schema Therapy.
Aleksandra’s therapeutic work is characterized by warmth, empathy, and authenticity, with a focus on creating corrective emotional experiences for her clients. She integrates her knowledge in trauma therapy, drawing from trauma experts such as Babette Rothschild, Janina Fisher, and Bessel van der Kolk, to
provide comprehensive support to clients dealing with complex trauma. She specializes in working with adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties, and personality disorders. Her therapeutic approach blends Schema Therapy and RE & CBT, complemented by elements
of Mindfulness, DBT, and Body Psychotherapy.
She is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), the European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT), the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST), the Serbian Union of Associations for Psychotherapy (SUAP), the Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies of
Serbia (ACBTS), and the Association for Psychotherapy, Counseling, and Coaching of Serbia (APCCS).
In addition, Aleksandra provides therapy and supervision in English, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin, with a working knowledge of French. She relocated from Serbia in April 2024 and is now based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, but currently works exclusively online.
